CARA ROSE

DONNELLY

Hiya!

I’m Cara, an aspiring fashion industry professional and student of UALs London College of Fashion, based in (you guessed it) London, and soon your company.

Welcome to my portfolio, the second best place for you get to know me! An interview being the first.

I’ll cover my education, my work experience and a brief about who I am as both a person and a worker.

You’re welcome to reach me through my email or my LinkedIn, which are both detailed at the top of this page!

CARA ROSE DONNELLY

RELATABLE, RELIABLE, RESULTS

ABOUT ME

I’m afraid i’m not one of those people who can bite the bullet and spend their time working a job they hate. I believe we only have one life, and we should spend it doing what we love.

i’ve always had a (queue the cliche) passion for fashion, and so have always felt the need to combine my drive for hard work and true purpose with my first love!

The fashion industry means holds immense value to me. It’s an industry which affects everybody without them acknowledging it, everything you wear is selected for you by someone in a room, from a pile of ‘stuff’. I think thats a world I need to be a part of.

Can you tell Miranda Priestly radicalised me?

A view of a canal with colorful buildings and boats, taken from inside a boat, with a part of the boat's window and boat equipment visible in the foreground.

I’ve always loved and craved creativity, but I also recognise that my skill set and personality are well suited to the business side of fashion, which is exactly why I chose to study Fashion Management!

I’m a strong leader and team player who thrives in fast-paced environments. I especially enjoy roles which allow me to put my social and interpersonal skills to use, something I’ve developed throughout my years of experience in customer service and sales.

The good, the bad, and the pageant…

Outside of university and work, I keep busy by competing in pageantry and contributing to the wellbeing of others through charitable work.

My most recent pageant was Miss Teen Great Britain! I’m a very social person and love putting my people skills to use, and pageantry has been an incredible way to do this while building a network of inspiring, like-minded women, many of whom are entrepreneurs or work within the fashion industry.

For me, pageantry is about so much more than the dresses (although that’s definitely a fun part of it too!).

Finally, I’ve always loved travelling, and the opportunity to travel for work has long been on my ‘to-do’ list.

A recent highlight was interrailing around Europe in 2025, and Australia is next on my list!

I understand that this is a global industry, and I’m really interested in learning more about how brands operate internationally and exploring opportunities to gain experience overseas.

That’s a very brief intro to me, Cara Donnelly. Of course there’s more to learn, so any questions please contact me at Donnellycr07@gmail.com or through my LinkedIn, which is linked at the top of the page!
